Road Closures: Protests prompt police to close roads near Square One in Mississauga

UPDATE: Peel Regional Police say the demonstrations are westbound on Central Parkway West.
A demonstration and march near Square One in Mississauga on Saturday, have temporarily closed roads in the area.
Peel Regional Police said in a social media post that these closures are impacting Burnhamthorpe Road West and surrounding streets.
Officials have not specified the nature of the protest but confirmed there have been no reports of violence.
Officers are on the scene to manage traffic and ensure public safety.
As of an update shared shortly before 4 p.m., the march had moved southbound on Confederation Parkway from Burnhamthorpe Road.
Motorists are being advised to use alternate routes and drive cautiously in the area.
