HIGHWAY CLOSURE: 3-vehicle crash on Highway 401 in Brampton leads to traffic disruptions

Road closures are in effect following a three-vehicle crash on Highway 401 in Brampton early Sunday morning that left four people injured.
Peel Regional Police said in a social media post that the collision happened shortly after 3 a.m. on Highway 401 and Steeles Avenue East.
Four individuals sustained minor injuries, though it is unclear whether they were treated at the scene or transported to the hospital. It is also unknown how many of the injured victims were in each of the vehicles involved.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
Police have closed the eastbound lanes on Steeles Avenue from Rutherford Road to Highway 410.
Drivers are asked to use alternate routes for the time being.
