Road closed after commercial building catches on fire in Brampton

A Brampton road is closed to traffic after a fire at a commercial building late Monday afternoon (Oct. 28).

Brampton Fire and Emergency Services were called to Orenda Road and Heart Lake Road at 4:21 p.m. for a report of a commercial building that was on fire.

Fire and emergency crews and Peel Regional Police are on the scene of the fire.

There have been no reports of injuries.

Emergency crews are currently investigating the fire.

Orenda Road is shut down to westbound traffic from Heart Lake Road.

Police are asking commuters to avoid the area and seek alternative routes.
