A retired Brampton construction worker won more than $58,000 in a Lotto 6/49 draw last October.
Diniz Da Costa said he’s a regular lottery player and plays the same numbers every time.
“Now that I’ve won, I will start fresh with new numbers,” he said while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his winnings.
The married da Costa said his wife is the one who discovered his big win.
“I thought I won $580, but when my wife checked the ticket on the OLG Lottery App, she discovered it was $58,000! I was in shock!”
Diniz plans to share his win with his children and set some aside for travel when it’s safe.
The winning ticket was purchased at ABC Convenience on McMurchy Ave. in Brampton.
