A new restaurant, known for its extra-long shawarma, is opening soon in Mississauga.
Azkadenya, a Mediterranean fast-casual restaurant, is opening at 6111 Erin Mills Parkway at Britannia Road West in Meadowvale.
Azkadenya is a brand under EAT, a global restaurant franchising group, which operates more than 50 outlets under 27 distinct brands, in over 14 cities and three continents, according to the website.
The restaurant was established in the heart of the Middle East and offers authentic Mediterranean fast-casual food.
The Toronto location at 235 Queen St. W. promoted the “longest shawarma”, a limited-time, metre-long shawarma.
But the restaurant has many other dishes to share including mezza (appetizers), signature plates, wraps, salads and desserts.
The restaurant design is a funky Mediterranean style with a nod to 1950s advertisements and artwork, collaged on wallpapers and table covers.
