Residents evacuated after fire breaks out at high-rise in Mississauga

Crews are responding to a fire that broke out in Mississauga early this morning (Feb. 6).
At 7:39 a.m., Mississauga Fire reported smoke showing from the top floor of a high-rise at 2323 Confederation Pkwy.
The fire has been knocked down and one person with smoke inhalation is being assessed by Peel paramedics.
No other injuries were reported.
“Buses will attend the scene for sheltering those who have been evacuated,” said Mississauga Fire.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
