Residents in the area of Britannia Rd and Glen Erin Dr in Mississauga were startled by the sound of gunshots this evening (July 18).

According to a tweet by Peel Regional Police, the incident unfolded a little before 6 p.m., prompting a large police presence.

No victims have been located on the scene at this time.
