Pet owners in Brampton can get some cash back for pet supplies while making sure their furry friends are registered under City bylaws.

The City of Brampton has teamed up with Canadian pet food and supply retailer Ren’s Pets to help promote the City’s dog and cat licensing program.

Brampton residents will now receive a $20 voucher to shop at Ren’s Pets when they register their dog or cat and purchase an annual pet license with Brampton Animal Services.

All dogs and cats in Brampton must be registered each year under the City’s Animal Control By-laws. Residents can license pets online, in-person, by telephone, or by mail.

“We’re excited to partner with the City of Brampton on this program to support responsible pet ownership,” said Ren’s Pets CEO Scott Arsenault. “Ren’s is committed to building meaningful partnerships with local communities like this one in Brampton, so pets can live their best lives.”

The $20 voucher can be used at Ren’s for food, treats, toys, or any other products your pet might need.

Pet licensing helps ensure your furry friends get returned home safely if they go missing or run away. The money collected from pet licenses also helps the Brampton Animal Shelter care for animals that are brought to the shelter.

Rates for licensing cats range from $5.00 to $20, and up to $40 for some dogs.

Ren’s Pets opened its Brampton store at 200 Great Lakes Dr. in July of 2021, and Arsenault said  and have met some incredible, passionate pet parents with amazing pets from the area.”

Pet licensing can be done online, in person, by phone, or through the mail. For full pricing and more details visit www.brampton.ca/animalservices.
