Reddit user upset by garbage left after illegal fireworks display in Oakville

An Oakville park was left cluttered with debris after fireworks were illegally set off there Sunday night.
A user on Reddit posted photos of the mess they came across in the Millbank Park, on the corner of Millbank and Glenashton drives.
“For those of you who participated in fireworks on Sunday, May 19, at Millbank Park, you should be ashamed for not cleaning up your mess,” wrote user Miklonish in a post labelled as a ‘rant’.
“I bet you had a lot of fun. I feel bad for the Oakville Staff having to clean this up on your behalf. Next time be responsible and clean up your mess. Even if it’s returning back the next day to do so.”
Although it’s legal in Oakville for residents to set off fireworks around Victoria Day, Canada Day, New Years Day and other religious holidays, it’s illegal to use any public place or land not owned by the user.
Other Reddit users pointed out there was a garbage bin literally right beside where the mess was left.
