Mississauga and surrounding areas saw record-breaking warmth yesterday, according to weather data compiled by Pearson Airport.

Friday, Nov. 4 saw a high of 20.4 degrees Celsius at 5:00 p.m., making it the warmest November 4th on record.

The previously highest temperature for that date was 20.1 C in 1987.

With more abnormally warm temperatures expected this weekend — far above seasonal for November — it’s likely that today’s temperature record (Nov. 5) could be broken as well.

For November 5th, the current highest temperature recorded was 20.4 set in 2015.

The weather forecast for the past week predicted unseasonably warm temperatures starting later in the week and continuing into this weekend.

However, the upcoming week will see cooler temperatures that are more in line with what’s expected for November.
