Police in Mississauga are seeking the public’s assistance in locating the driver and passenger who crashed through a steel rail on a highway early on Friday, and then fled.
The Ontario Provincial Police, which has jurisdiction over provincial highways, says that the driver of a grey SUV crashed through the steel rail and metal fence on the westbound Queen Elizabeth Way at around 1:51 a.m. on March 4. Both parties then fled the area instead of remaining at the scene of the crash, which is required by the Ontario Highway Traffic Act.
The OPP are seeking dash cam footage of the parties fleeing. They can reached at 905-858-8670.
