The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has recalled a chopped salad kit “due to possible salmonella contamination.”

The recall was announced on Monday for the Taylor Farms brand sweet kale chopped kit with a best before date of Dec. 6.

The affected product codes are TFRC327BP06 or TFRC327BP04.

The recall was triggered by CFIA test results and no illnesses have been reported in Canada, officials said.

The kits were distributed in Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland and Labrador.

Consumers were advised to check if they have the recalled product and if so, throw it out or return it to where it was purchased.

“Food contaminated with salmonella may not look or smell spoiled but can still make you sick,” officials noted.

If someone thinks they got sick from eating a recalled product, they’re advised to contact their health-care provider.
