Ontario, Canada, Canadian Food Inspection Agency. Costco, Kirkland Signature Greek Yogurt brand, recall, mould, microbial contamination

A brand of Greek Yogurt has been recalled across Canada due to mould.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has recalled Costco’s Kirkland Signature Greek Yogurt brand on Thursday (Sept. 12).

The yogurt was sold at Costco locations in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Quebec, and Saskatchewan.

“Do not use, sell, serve, or distribute the affected product,” advised the CFIA.

While the issue with the 24 x 100-gram pack of Greek yogurt is microbial contamination, the CFIA says it is not harmful though it does impact the quality or storage.

The product has a UPC number of 0 96619 22214 5 and 8W 173 and has a best before date of August 10, 2024.
