Rain and snow in weekend forecast for southern Ontario

This weekend might be a good time to curl up with a book — it’s looking like a wet and possibly snowy.
Southern Ontario saw some of the coldest days of the season this week after the wind chill had it feeling as low as -14 C in some areas.
While it is warming up — up to 9 C today (Nov. 30), rain and snow are in the forecast for the weekend in the GTA including Mississauga, Brampton and Halton Region.
The rain could start tonight and continue into tomorrow. Cooler temperatures are in the forecast tomorrow with a high of 5 C.
On the weekend, the possibility of snow comes Saturday morning with a 40 per cent chance of rain or snow and a high of only 3 C in Mississauga, Brampton and Halton, according to Environment Canada.
The Hamilton area forecast is calling for rain and no snow with a high of 4 C on Saturday.
On Sunday, the temperature is expected to warm up again to 7 C. And it is expected to be cloudy with 40 per cent chance of showers.
The temperatures are actually above average for this time of year. The average high for Dec. 2 is 3.4 C in Mississauga.
The warmest Dec. 2 (from 1937-2012) was 14.5 C in 1998, and the coldest was -22.8 C in 1940 in Mississauga, according to Environment Canada.
