Toronto police have shared funeral details for Const. Jeffrey Northrup, a Mississauga native who was killed in the line of duty last week.

Northrup, a 31-year veteran with the Toronto Police, was killed when he was struck by a car while investigating a call to the underground parking area of Toronto City Hall in the early hours of July 2. He is survived by his wife, three children and his mother.

The general public may pay their respects at a visitation at the Kane-Jerrett Funeral Home in Thornhill Sunday (July 11) from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

A private funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday at BMO Field. It will be broadcast on local television stations and the Toronto Police Service’s YouTube channel.

Umar Zameer, 31, has been charged with first-degree murder in connection with Northrup’s death. His next court appearance is July 23.
