Public being warned of crypto investment scam across southern Ontario

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are warning residents in Mississauga, Oshawa, Burlington and across southern Ontario Wednesday (July 10) of an ongoing crypto investment scam.

The public is being warned not to engage on the following websites:

  • [.]How2Crypto.com and www. [.]How2Crypto.net.
  • www. [.]How2Crypto.net.

OPP are reminding the public to be aware of whom they are sending their crypto to and to protect themselves.

Ways to protect yourself include:

  • Once you send your crypto, it is gone
  • Government agencies do no accept cryptocurrencies
  • Conduct your own due diligence, ask questions, and do your research before sending anyone your crypto.
