Protest slows commuter traffic in Mississauga, Oakville, Burlington

Traffic has slowed to a crawl along major routes between Burlington and Mississauga this morning (Nov. 19) because of a protest.
Reports indicate the protestors have shut down service roads and ramps that run along the QEW near Third Line which has prevented drivers from leaving the road.
Protestors can be seen waving Palestinian flags in front of Collins Aerospace on South Service Road in Oakville. The protestors say the company’s technology is being used to assist Israel in its ongoing conflict in Gaza.
This has forced drivers to seek alternate routes and has caused congestion in those areas.
“This is crazy,” noted one driver on X who said the delay had already made him late for work.
The OPP have not provided an update.
Highway cameras show that eastbound lanes heading to Toronto are most affected with traffic coming to a standstill. Westbound lanes are moving slowly.
