Kids hoping to cool off in this searing heat under the splash pad at Prospect Park in Acton will have to look elsewhere for now.
The Town of Halton Hills announced the local splash pad is temporarily closed due to technical difficulties as of June 7. Repairs have been scheduled.
As for when it will open, residents are asked to go to haltonhills.ca/en/residents/closures-and-cancellations.aspx for updates.
The Prospect Park splash pad is one of three in Halton Hills. Georgetown splash pads at Dominion Gardens Park (135 Maple Avenue) and Gellert Community Park (10241 Eighth Line) remain open.
Kids can bring their water toys, but a reminder there are no pets, bicycles, skateboards or rollerblades allowed on the splash pad.
