Power outage in Mississauga affecting over 1300 homes and businesses

A power outage is currently affecting over 1300 homes and businesses in Mississauga with an estimated restoration time close to 7 p.m. tonight.

Alectra Utilities first reported the outage shortly before 3:30 p.m. today (May. 13) saying 1318 homes and businesses were experiencing the same issue.

The outage is located around Erin Mills Parkway and Britannia Rd West.

The utilities company mentioned in a recent tweet that they had dispatched crew to fix the issue and that the earliest the power restoration would be complete is near 7 p.m. tonight.

However, Alectra  has not released any details about the possible cause of the power outage.
