Power outage in Mississauga affecting 3107 homes and businesses

UPDATE: All power has been restored in Mississauga
A power outage was inconveniencing over 3100 homes and businesses in Mississauga with an unknown restoration time.
Alectra Utilities first reported the outage shortly after 4:00 a.m. today (Aug. 5) saying 3107 residents and establishments were experiencing the same issue.
The company said the outage occurred in the area from Hurontario St. and Bristol Rd. E., all the way to Hwy 403.
As of 11:00 a.m., power has been restored to the majority of residents.
According to the utility companies live map, close to 500 people near Mavis Rd. / Centre View Dr are impacted by the outage.
A small number of 50 homes and businesses near Mclaughlin Rd. / Rodeo Dr., are still without power.
Although crew have been dispatched to fix the issue, it is uncertain when all power will be back up and running.
This is the second power in the last two days for the region. On Friday (Aug. 4) the utilities company reported an outage near the Hurontario St. and Burnhamthorpe Rd. W., area. All power was successfully restored a couple hours later.
Alectra Utilities have not mentioned the cause for the power lines beings down.
