Power outage in Brampton affects over 4,000 homes and businesses

UPDATE: Power was fully restored in the affected area around 7:30 p.m.
More than 4,000 customers of Alectra Utilities in Brampton were without hydro for a few hours on Tuesday evening.
Alectra reported an outage in the Chinguacousy Road and Sandalwood Parkway West area of the city. Crews have been sent out to discover the source of the outage. The expected time of resumption is 8:30 p.m., but Alectra said everyone’s electricity was restored around 7:30.

Officially, 4,124 businesses and homes were affected.
During an outage, any intersection where traffic lights are nonfunctional should be treated like four-way stops.
