Popular Mississauga and Brampton dessert spot introduces tasty new menu

For D Spot Dessert Café, good desserts are like high fashion – fresh, trendy, and innovative.

That’s why the popular franchise, which has locations in Mississauga, Brampton, Milton, Oakville, and other Ontario cities, is unveiling a new menu full of delectably sweet dishes. Cookies, cheesecake, ice cream, pancakes, milkshakes and much more await!

Established in 2014, founders Samir and Ashma Desai opened the first D Spot café in Scarborough, ushering in an entirely new wave of excitement to the world of desserts.

They started with many months of recipe development and menu execution. Samir took on creating custom ice cream and dessert recipes, while Ashma was responsible for baking custom cakes and savoury items.

A collaboration of fresh batters and mixes for crepes, waffles and pancakes are made fresh on site every day.

Together, they developed the popular restaurant that’s now quickly growing across Canada.

While much has changed since 2014, D Spot continues to innovate their menu year after year. The team regularly travels the world to find the best ingredients out there – such as Iranian saffron and Italian Pistachio Paste, which are used to make their ice cream.

The restaurant also offers a variety of drinks that pair perfectly with your favourite dessert, such as organic whole leaf teas, lattes, espressos, lemonades, Italian sodas, and hot chocolate.

Hidden Gem: This sugary masterpiece has it all! One of their signature Belgian creations, the Hidden Gem features a chocolate lava cake wrapped in a crepe, topped with strawberries, bananas, Oreo pieces, Belgian milk, and white chocolate with a side of vanilla ice cream.

Skillet Cookies: Who wants a cookie? These skillet cookies come loaded with delicious toppings and are the perfect size for sharing (or just savouring all that sweetness for yourself). They pair nicely with D Spot’s thick and creamy Cookie Butter Hot Chocolate.

Cookie Butter Hot Chocolate: If you love cookie butter and hot bevys then this liquid dessert will hit the spot! It’s topped with whipped cream and cookie butter crumble. Yum!

Chocolate Cheesecake: A timelessly classic dessert, the rich Belgian triple Chocolate Cheesecake is smooth and decedent, perfect for chocolate lovers. Pairs best with your favourite tea.

You Better Brûléeve It!: Take your tastebuds for a ride with salted caramel ice cream, topped with brûléed banana, caramel pearls, Lotus cookie butter crumble, almonds, toffee bits, and English toffee sauce. Delicious!

Nutella Banana Pancakes: Who doesn’t love the creamy hazelnut taste of Nutella? These three fluffy buttermilk pancakes are topped with banana, Nutella and whipped cream. Pairs best with a thick and creamy Strawberry Milkshake.

The popular dessert franchise came from very humble beginnings, starting out as a single shop in Scarborough back in 2014.

D Spot was a labour of love by Samir and Ashma Desai, who wanted to share their passion for desserts with the world. The restaurant quickly found major success, and with so much demand they began expanding into new locations in 2017.

Now, five years later, D Spot has 23 locations and is still growing, with another 23 locations planned to open across Canada.

That includes existing and upcoming locations in major Ontario cities like Toronto, Brampton, Mississauga, Oakville, Burlington, Hamilton, Oshawa, and Niagara Falls.
