With cooler weather creeping in, a busy farmers’ market in Mississauga that has been outdoors all summer long will be moving indoors this weekend.

The Lakeview Farmers’ Market is heading back inside, starting this Sunday (Oct. 6) following the completion of repairs at the Small Arms Inspection Building. Visitors can enjoy a cozy indoor shopping experience with a mix of new and returning vendors.

Running every Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. until (Oct.27), the market will offer fresh fall produce, artisanal goods and a variety of local treats.

In addition to the returning favourites, the market is introducing exciting new vendors this season. Ostrichland will offer antibiotic-free ostrich meat, raised on homegrown alfalfa and local grains. Churro’s Churros will serve freshly made churros topped with fruit and sauces. Mar Mar Belgian Waffles will feature seasonal pumpkin waffles!

Guests can also learn about seed-saving techniques with the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority offering tips on gathering and propagating seeds. Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or just curious, the event will be available every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., until the end of the month.
