The city’s award-winning free bus tours are back before the year ends for anyone new to Brampton!

If you moved to Brampton after January 1, 2014, you’re invited to take a free tour of the city on December 5 or 7, 2017, from 6-9 p.m.

According to the City, the experience offers a tour of Brampton’s facilities, programs, services, and even history.

Over the three hour trip, new residents will have the chance to check out parks, heritage areas, transit services, hospitals, libraries, community centres, and many other city landmarks.

With masses of people arriving in Brampton yearly, this tour could be instrumental in making Brampton feel like home for everyone.

Tours begin and end at Brampton Library’s Chinguacousy Branch at 150 Central Park Drive, and they are family-friendly.

Some of the highlights on the tour include Brampton’s largest park – Chinguacousy Park – the Rose Theatre in downtwon Brampton, the rec centre South Fletcher’s Sportsplex, and the gardens at Mandarin Buffet.

These bus tours have been running in Brampton since 2009. Earlier this year, the program won the Upstart Innovation Award from the American Library Association, which recognizes creative and innovative library programs.

Anyone attending is asked to wear comfortable shoes.

Registration is required and space is limited.

To register, call (905) 793-4636 or visit any Brampton Library branch.
