There’s even more time to check out Brampton’s pop-up roller skating rink as it will be sticking around a few more months due to popular demand.

The limited-time-only roller rink opened back in October, transforming the old Sears department store at Bramalea City Centre into a one-of-a-kind skating experience.

Gussied up with neon lights, disco balls and all sorts of Instagram-worthy decorations, the 30,000-square-foot roller rink was set to close in February but operators SUSO Skate Co. say the pop-up’s run is being extended until April due to “insanely high demand and requests from the Peel region community.”

SUSO says introducing kids skating has been a popular addition to their line-up and staff say they’re ready to get the next generation of skaters rolling in Brampton, especially during the winter months when kids and parents have fewer options for outdoor activities.

Guests are required to make an online booking to reserve their time slot at SUSO Skate. Roller skate rentals start at $18 per hour and include complimentary wrist guards and a coat check with the option to add protective gear.

People with their own skates can book a time slot for $14 and skate for up to 3 hours.

SUSO has opened previous pop-ups in old big box stores in Cambridge, North York and Toronto, and the Brampton location will cater to skaters of all ages with adult-only times and family-friendly time slots available.

The SUSO Skate Co. pop-up at BCC opens on Oct. 27 and will be open Wednesdays through Sundays until the end of February. You can click here to visit the website and book your slot.
