Police in Mississauga will be out in full force next week, making sure all trucks and commercial vehicles are safe enough to be on the road.
On Monday, June 27, officers will conduct commercial vehicle inspections in the area of Winston Churchill Boulevard and Highway 401 to check for any operational safety concerns.
“Officers will be inspecting tires, brakes, suspensions, load security, the transportation of dangerous goods and driver qualifications for safety and compliance,” police say.
The enforcement will be conducted by Road Safety Services officers that are a part of the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA), a non-profit association comprised of commercial motor vehicle safety officials and industry representatives.
Inspections will happen between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on Monday.
