Police seize gun, cocaine after raids in Mississauga

Peel Police arrested 29-year-old Denzel Smith from Toronto after searches of a vehicle and two residences resulted in the seizure of a gun and cocaine on Monday.
Police say Smith was serving a 10-year probation sentence that barred him from owning a firearm.

The tactical unit raided a vehicle and residence in Mississauga and a home in Toronto that allegedly linked Smith to the cocaine and handgun seized.
Smith has been charged with the following:
- Possession of a loaded restricted firearm
- Unauthorized possession of a restricted firearm
- Occupant of a motor vehicle knowing there was a firearm
- Knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Possession of a firearm contrary to order
- Carless Storage of a firearm
- Possession of property obtained by crime
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking Cocaine
Smith was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
