Peel police are seeking witnesses in a shooting that occurred at a large Brampton house party.
On Monday (July 27), police received a call at 5:54 a.m. for shots that had been fired outside a residence on Julian Dr.
Officers arrived on the scene and located three adults with gunshot injuries while a fourth adult was found suffering from injuries that were later determined not to be gunshot related.
A 28-year-old woman and a 26-year-old man were transported to a trauma centre. A 30-year-old man and a 32-year-old man were transported to a local hospital.
All injuries were deemed to be “non-life-threatening”.
Police say an investigation revealed that the residence where the shooting occurred was an Airbnb rental property that was being used for a large party.
Peel Regional Police and the City of Brampton By-Law Enforcement had jointly attended this same property due to noise complaints on both Saturday and Sunday (July 26).
In both cases, Brampton By-law officers laid charges under the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act and Noise By-law.
The illegal social gatherings were dispersed on both occasions.
