Police search for shoplifting culprits in Oakville, Milton, Halton Hills

Halton police are searching for suspects in a trio of retail thefts in Oakville, Milton and Halton Hills.

On June 28, at 2:15 p.m., according to police, a man entered the Canadian Tire located at 315 Guelph St. in Georgetown. He went to a display of Thermacell duel-pack replacement cartridges, placing all 62 items in a basket.

The man then visited a second display with Thermacell single-pack replacement cartridges, concealing all 87 from the display in his jacket, police said.

The suspect exited through the garden centre without paying for the items. The total value of the 149 packages taken is more than $7,000.

The culprit is further described as 55 to 65 years old, with grey hair, balding on top, grey stubble on his face, and wearing a black jacket with safety vest and blue jeans.


On June 27, around 1 p.m., a woman entered the Rexall Pharmacy at 6541 Derry Rd. in Milton.

She selected various cosmetics worth more than $4,000, which she concealed in her bag. When asked if she was going to pay as she was exiting, she replied “no” and left the store.

The suspect is a white female, with long, blonde hair, average height, large build, wearing a white T-shirt, light-coloured pants, and sandals


On June 2, around 4:30 p.m., two female suspects entered Andrews Store at 283 Lakeshore Rd. E. in Oakville.

They selected four dresses with a total value of $3,125.

The dresses were concealed in one of the female’s bags. They both left the store making no attempt to pay.

The first suspect is a white female, 5-foot-8 with dark hair and dark eyes, wearing denim pants, a black leather jacket over a white shirt, carrying a green purse.

The second suspect is a non-white female, 5-foot-3, wearing a black track suit with a thick, beige stripe, white shoes, carrying a large, black bag.
