Police search for getaway car used in fatal Brampton shooting

Police are asking the public to help track down the getaway vehicle used in a Brampton shooting that left a 60-year-old man dead this week.
Peel Regional Police say the shooting happened around 10:15 p.m. on Monday (July 25) in the area of Argelia Cres. and Parity Rd. in Brampton.
When officers arrived at the scene they found that a 60-year-old man had been shot. Police say the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The shooting is being called a targeted incident by investigators, and at least one suspect fled the scene on foot and got into a dark-coloured, four-door SUV believed to be a Honda Pilot.
Police have released a picture of the suspect vehicle and are asking the public for leads. The identity of the victim has not been released.

The shooting was the second targeted death within a few days in Brampton according to police.
Anthony Putzu of Toronto was shot and killed on Saturday at St. Roch Catholic School in Brampton. Investigators have identified the vehicle involved in this incident as a 2023 Black Nissan Murano with Ontario license plate CYJS 166, with damage to the driver’s side.
Police say the vehicle was located burned, in the 8th Line and Britannia Rd area in Milton on Sunday morning. The investigation is ongoing.
