Police Investigating After Needle Found in Halloween Candy

Peel police is issuing a public safety advisory following the discovery of potentially dangerous candy.

Police say that on Tuesday, Nov. 7 officers were made aware of a sewing needle discovered inside a Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Bar received by a child while trick or treating on Halloween.

Investigators are working to identify where the candy may have come from.

Police say the child trick or treated on Cranwood Circle, Bonnie Braes Drive and James Potter Road.

The child was not injured.

Peel Regional Police are reminding everyone to check all candy received during this past Halloween.
