Police are appealing for witnesses after a 19-year-old man was gunned down in a Brampton motel room.

On Monday, Feb. 20 at approximately 10:20 p.m., 19-year-old Toronto man Jahsavior Reid was shot during an altercation in a motel room on Steelwell Road.

Reid succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police believe the shooting to be an isolated incident and are advising residents that there is no imminent threat to public safety.
