Police have identified the two people who were found dead last week in Mississauga’s Streetsville area.

On Tuesday morning, Aug. 16, officers conducted a wellness check at a home in the area of Princess St and Queen St S near Thomas St, where they located a deceased man and woman.

The victims have been identified as Anna Monika Kuraczycka, 46, and Constantino Figueiredo, 54, both from Mississauga.

They were known as Monika and Tino to their friends and family.

“We can also confirm that the victims were married and residing at the residence located 25 Princess Street, Mississauga,” said police.

While both victims had clear signs of trauma, police have no information yet on the weapon used or motive.

No suspects have been taken into custody at this time.

The homicide investigation into this incident is ongoing.

A GoFundMe was set up to support the couple’s two children, and as of Aug. 24 has raised $25,638 of its $75,000 goal.

“Please keep the family in your prayers as they grieve and find a way to honor Monika and Tino’s lives,” says the GoFundMe page which was set up by resident Sarah Khatau.

“During these difficult times, we ask that you please respect the family’s privacy as they grieve the loss of their parents.”

A candlelight vigil will be held at the victims’ residence on Saturday, Aug. 27 from 6 p.m. to 12 a.m.
