Police chase stolen car through Ajax

Two suspects in a stolen car took police on a brief tour of the streets of Ajax Saturday evening before they were finally stopped and arrested.

Durham Police responded to a suspicious vehicle call around five p.m. near Bolland Crescent and found a black Honda Civic which had been reported as stolen in Toronto. The vehicle sped away from the scene when police arrived but was stopped nearby after a brief chase.

The driver and his 17 year-old passenger were arrested and then released on Undertakings.

Treval Brown-Miller, 23, of Scarborough, is charged with: Possess Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000; Flight from Police; Dangerous Operation of a Conveyance and Possession of a Prohibited Weapon (knife).

The 17 year-old male passenger was charged with Carry a Concealed Weapon (knife).
