Peel Regional Police (PRP) have charged a suspect in connection to a home invasion that occurred in Brampton.

On Thursday (September 30), four suspects, believed to be armed with guns, broke into a home in the area of Veterans Drive and Creditview Road, assaulted one of the residents, and then fled the scene.

However, during the incident, a patrolling PRP officer stopped to investigate a suspicious car parked outside of the house. When the suspects came outside, the officer was able to apprehend one of them—23-year-old Voshaun Grant of Waterloo.

Grant is facing multiple charges, including robbery and breach of probation associated with a separate matter that occurred in Thunder Bay.

Police are still searching for the other three suspects. They’re believed to be between 20 and 30 years old, and they were wearing dark hooded sweatshirts, and dark pants.

Anyone with relevant information is urged to contact investigators with the Central Robbery Bureau at 905-453-2121 extension 3410.
