A Mississauga man and a teen from Barrie have been charged in the shooting death of a man from Trent Hills.

On Sept. 16, officers from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Northumberland detachment were called to a residence in Trent Hills approximately 50 kilometres east of Peterborough after receiving reports of a shooting.

When police and paramedics arrived on scene they discovered a man suffering from a suspected gunshot wound.

The victim later died from his injuries and has been identified by police as 38-year-old Andrew Brenton Brown.

Last month, police searched a residential property in Barrie and arrested 18-year-old Zachary Comeau.

The teenager was charged with second degree murder in the death of Andrew Brown, but police were unable to locate a second suspect they believe was also connected to the shooting.
