Police car smashed as driver arrested in Brampton

A man has been charged with impaired driving after a crash involving a police cruiser in Brampton last week.
Peel Regional Police told INsauga.com the collision happened just after 11 p.m. last Wednesday at Chinguacousy Road and Sandalwood Parkway.
A vehicle and a cruiser collided in the intersection, police said. Just the drivers were inside each of the vehicles.
Images posted to social media show the cruiser with severe front-end damage. Despite that, only minor injuries were reported and no one had to be taken to hospital, police said.
The driver of the other vehicle, a 33-year-old man from Caledon, was charged with impaired driving, police said.
