Police seek rightful owners as stolen loot recovered in Brampton

Peel police are still attempting to identify the rightful Brampton owners of property recovered during an investigation into a rash of burlaries.

From January to April, officers from the 22 Division Break and Enter Unit investigated several residential break and enters, thefts, and thefts from vehicles in the downtown Brampton and surrounding area. As a result, multiple search warrants were conducted within Peel Region and surrounding areas, which resulted in 12 people being charged, 66 criminal charges laid and approximately $50,000 worth of stolen property recovered.

Investigators believe some of the crimes have gone undetected or unreported. If you are a victim of a residential break-in, garage theft or theft of contents from a vehicle between January to April 2021, please review the photos of the recovered property.

Brampton residents facing multiple charges include Shawn Kerr, 27, Amanda Smith, 35, Jordan Driver, 34, Lance Caines, 37, Rabih Abi Ghanem, 38, Murray Walker, 63, and Monaliza Mondata, 34. Those of no fixed address facing charges are Cory Hicks, 36, Dwayne Yeates, 38, Pamela Shubrook, 37, Scott Brown, 58, and Daniel Fitzpatrick, 34.
