Peel police cruisers were reportedly damaged yesterday while officers were in pursuit of three suspects responsible for a carjacking in Brampton.
Last night, at a plaza, multiple law enforcement vehicles were damaged during the arrests of suspects who allegedly stole a Lexus from a parking lot on Mississauga Road, south of Williams Parkway.
Additionally, during the incident, a police Tactical Unit pickup truck crashed into a Pizza Pizza store within the plaza.
Police have not confirmed whether the officer driving the truck sustained injuries or if anyone inside the store was hurt.
Authorities have not released the names, ages, places of residence or images of the suspects reportedly involved in the carjacking.
There are other businesses connected on either side of the pizza store, however, it is unclear if they were also damaged during the incident.
The extent and amount of damages to the pizza shop and other businesses remain unknown at this time.
