A church built more than 150 years ago that has been transformed into a home is up for sale in Burlington.

It’s located on Dundas Street right by Highway 407.

“Originally built in 1867 as St. Pauls Presbyterian Church, this structure has been transformed into a home filled with unforgettable character and timeless charm while satisfying today’s modern desires,” a listing for the property on Realtor.ca says.

It features original pine floors, stained glass windows, 16-foot ceilings and is 2,142 square feet.

It has an open-concept living space with a kitchen island as the “focal point,” the listing says.

The home has three bedrooms, one of which is a loft, and two bathrooms.

The “immense” yard, which is next to the church-turned-home, has a patio that is “perfect for entertaining.”

The home sits next to a cemetery, which is maintained by the City of Burlington.

Across the cemetery on the opposite side of the property, there is additional green space with a fenced-in garden, as well as a bunkie with a fire pit and deck.

The property is listed for $1,299,000.

Annual property taxes are $3,288.

Zoocasa’s website shows that there have been attempts to sell the property in the past, including for as high as $1,669,900 in 2023, all of which were to no avail.
