Peel services holiday closures in Mississauga, Brampton and Caledon

With Christmas Day and Boxing Day falling on a weekend this year, many Region of Peel non-emergency services in Mississauga, Brampton and Caledon will be closed over the holidays.
The Family Health Call Centre will be closed from Dec. 25 to Dec. 28, and again between Jan. 1 and Jan. 3.
The Needle Exchange Program (NEP) will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Dec. 24 and Dec. 31. The NEP will also be closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day, and again between Jan. 1 and Jan. 3.
The following Peel Region offices will be closed starting on Monday Dec. 27 and won’t reopen until January 4:

- Dental Services Contact Centre
- Early Years and Child Care Services
- Healthy Sexuality Clinic
- Peel Living Office
- Ontario Works in Peel
Vaccination Clinics
COVID-19 vaccination clinics will be open by appointment, and can be booked online through the vaccination portal.
The Region is offering vaccines to residents five and older at Peel Public Health clinics, physicians’ offices, primary care centres and more.
Emergency shelter, food, medication, or personal support
For urgent homelessness supports – including food, supplies, referrals, and shelter – you can call the Street Helpline 24-hours a day at 1-877-848-8481.

TransHelp
TransHelp will operate from 6 a.m. to 1 a.m. on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.
All subscription trips will be cancelled, except for dialysis trips.
Anyone booking trips between Dec. 25 and Dec. 27 must be booked by 6:00 p.m. on Christmas Eve, and all trips for Jan. 1 and 2 must be booked by 6:00 p.m. on New Year’s Eve.
The TransHelp call centre will close at 10 p.m. on Christmas Eve, and the office will be closed between Dec. 25 and Jan. 1 and will reopen on Jan. 3.

Waste collection Brampton, Mississauga, Caledon
There will be no change to your waste collection schedule due to the upcoming holiday season.
All Community Recycling Centres (CRCs) will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.
CRCs will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Dec. 24 and Dec. 31, and from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. from Dec. 27 to Dec. 31.
The Bolton Community Recycling Centre will be closed on December 27, 2021.
