Peel Police on scene of early morning carjacking in Mississauga

Peel Regional Police are on the scene of a reported carjacking Monday morning (Aug. 30) in Mississauga.
Police said a man was pulled from his van while parked outside a restaurant in the area of Dundas Street E and Haines Road at around 6:45 a.m.
While fleeing the scene, the suspects ran the man over. The extent of his injuries is unknown but he is being assessed by paramedics at the scene.
According to police, no weapons were seen during the incident.
The van, a white Nissan with the license plate BD83714, was last seen leaving the area travelling eastbound on Dundas Street, police said.
UPDATE: Peel Paramedics have transported the victim to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and police said two, possibly three, suspects were involved but they have yet to obtain any descriptions.
