From email scams, road safety and drug awareness, Peel Regional Police (PRP) want you to get educated for Crime Prevention Month.

Police are holding an in-person information session alongside Peel Crime Stoppers at the Erin Mills Town Centre in Mississauga from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday.

Officers will be on site to help inform the public on crime prevention techniques to help safeguard themselves, their homes and their vehicles to avoid becoming a target.

For those not able to attend the info sessions in person, PRP has virtual resources available on business safety and security, child and teen safety, frauds and scams, and gang activity.

Tips made to Peel Crime Stoppers have helped lead to more than 1,000 arrests and thousands of charges in Mississauga and Brampton.

For more information, visit PeelPolice.ca or follow the PRP on Twitter.
