Pedestrian suffers life-threatening injuries after crash at Brampton and Caledon border

A pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries in a collision in Caledon.
Emergency crews rushed to a report of a pedestrian struck on Dixie Road, near Mayfield Road, just before 10 p.m. on Wednesday, OPP said in a press release.
A passenger vehicle hit a pedestrian, police said. No other vehicles were involved.
Police said the driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.
The pedestrian was transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre where they remain with serious and life-threatening injuries, police said.
Dixie Road between Old School Road and Mayfield Road was closed for several hours while police investigated.
The investigation is ongoing and police ask anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage to contact Caledon OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
