Pedestrian struck and suffers serious injuries in Mississauga

A woman was hit by a vehicle and suffered serious injuries Sunday night in Mississauga.
The woman was struck in the area of Hurontario Street and Bristol Road East, north of Square One in Mississauga, a Peel Regional Police spokesperson tells insauga.com.
Emergency crews rushed to the scene around 9 p.m., on Sunday, March 17.
Peel Paramedics transported the woman to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
The vehicle remained on the scene, police added.
There is no word yet on if there will be charges. The investigation is ongoing.
