Pedestrian in Mississauga injured by possible hit-and-run driver

A driver did not remain on scene after running into a pedestrian in Mississaga on Monday night (Nov. 15), police say.
At 9:21 p.m., Peel Regional Police received a call that a male had been struck by a driver in the area of Atwood Lane and Derry Road. He has been taken by ambulance to a local hospital to be assessed.
The driver did not remain on the scene, police said. Any motorist who does not remain at the scene of a collision can be charged under the Ontario Highway Traffic Act.
