Pedestrian hit by a vehicle, major road closed in Mississauga

A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle in Mississauga this morning.
The female pedestrian was hit at Southdown Road and Truscott Drive just before 7 a.m., Peel Regional Police said in a post to social media.
The woman was sent to hospital, police said, adding the severity of her injuries wasn’t known.
The driver involved remained on scene, police said.
Southdown Road was closed southbound at Truscott Road and northbound Southdown Road at Bromsgrove Road was also closed.
Police asked drivers to use alternate routes.
