A pedestrian was hit and suffered serious injuries in Mississauga on Tuesday evening.
Emergency crews rushed to the Hurontario Street and Lakeshore Road East area in Port Credit just before 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, a Peel Regional Police spokesperson told INsauga.com.
The person was transported to a trauma centre where he has serious but non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
Police said the driver of the vehicle involved remained at the scene.
There were no charges as of Wednesday afternoon.
The roads in the area were closed while officers investigated the collision.
This is the second pedestrian collision in Mississauga in the last 24 hours.
Police are searching for the driver of a grey minivan they say struck an “elderly” man early Wednesday morning at Britannia Road East and Hurontario Street. The man is in serious condition in hospital, but is expected to survive, police said.
