Pedestrian airlifted in critical condition following serious crash north of Caledon

Police are investigating after a pedestrian was rushed to hospital by an air ambulance following a serious crash north of Caledon.
The collision happened around 7:40 p.m. on Wednesday when the OPP says a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle on Main Street in the town of Shelburne, approximately 45 kilometres north of Caledon.
When first responders arrived on the scene they found a 70-year-old male pedestrian had been struck and suffered serious injuries.
Police say the man was air-lifted to hospital by an Ornge helicopter ambulance in life-threatening condition.
No other injuries were reported in the collision and officers with the OPP Traffic Collision Investigation (TCI) have been called in to investigate the crash.
