Parts of a local park pathway have been closed off after police say a body was found in Mississauga.

Much of the lakefront path between J.C. Saddington Park and Ben Machree Park has been closed since Tuesday evening after a body was found in the area, a spokesperson for Peel Regional Police confirmed to INsauga.com

Police say the death is not considered suspicious.

Residents should avoid the area while police are on the scene. Police have not said when the pathway is expected to reopen.
